What was the name of this old educational PC game from the early 90s?

Trying to remember the name of an old PC game that I would play in my elementary school's computer lab, in like 1993/94. If anyone's every played the Adventures of Lolo for the NES, it was sort of like that. Each "screen" was a puzzle where you had to collect letters to spell a word if I recall. It was in a jungle setting and you had to like, avoid hippos and cross rivers. When you entered a level you got off a raft and when you finished you go on a raft and left the other way. On the left side of the screen was a separate bar with a short, bald tribal-looking guy with a staff and a parrot. Anyone remember the name of this game?
